Central Bark, the premier whole dog care franchise and industry pioneer, recently announced the signing of its newest multi-unit franchise agreement. This will bring three new locations to New Jersey, our first in the Garden State. Behind the agreement are Frank and Lauren Belfiore. The husband-and-wife team will begin their development of Central Bark in Northern New Jersey.

New Jersey Franchisees

After spending more than 20 years in corporate America, the couple decided they were ready to determine their own direction. They fell in love with Central Bark after extensive research. They realized there was a business model that would allow them to combine their longstanding passion for dogs with the thriving pet services industry. In fact, U.S. sales in 2023 are primed to hit $143.6 billion according to the American Pet Products Association. They understood New Jersey would be a great market for Central Bark. It’s made up of so many dog-friendly communities. Each region aligns with Central Bark’s mission: to forever nurture, enrich, and inspire whole health, happiness, and unconditional love for each dog, family, and community we serve.

What They’re Saying

“We’re so pleased to welcome Frank and Lauren to our Central Bark family,” said Tim Weiderhoft, Ed.D,, Vice President of Franchise Development for Central Bark. “This is allowing us to expand our presence across the Northeast while opening our first locations ever in New Jersey. Frank and Lauren have impressive professional backgrounds. What we love is that they want to apply that experience and business knowledge to operating their new Central Barks. We know they’re going to find tremendous success in Parsippany and across New Jersey.”

Diversity is our Cornerstone

Central Bark has attracted entrepreneurs from a variety of notable backgrounds and other franchise brands as our owners look to diversify their portfolios away from the thin margins of food and restaurants. From senior executives with multi-million-dollar companies to presidents of insurance companies, Culver’s franchisees, Two-Men and Truck franchisees, and others – Central Bark is made up of both single-unit and multi-unit operators. This includes husband and wife teams, parent and child duos, siblings, and many different types of experienced business owners.
