Before “dog day care” was a common term, our founders envisioned somewhere dogs would be cared for like family.
1997
Jackie Jordan opens a first-of-its-kind dog day care.
2000
The concept takes off and Jackie opens two more locations.
2003
Jackie partners with Chris Gaba, another dog day care owner to create Central Bark and start franchising.
2007
Central Bark opens location number 10.
2009
Central Bark opens location number 20.
2021
Private equity firm, NewSpring Franchise, acquires Central Bark.
2023
With over 40 locations in
